Real Estate Marketing Postcard
When I began my career in Real Estate I knew I had to get the word out and being a believer in social media marketing, I was confident I had that covered. However, would you believe not everyone is on Instagram or even Facebook? I know! There are many friends and potential clients not on social media, for instance, my neighbors! I needed those around my neighborhood and friends of my family to know that I had taken my business to the next level by pursuing my real estate license. In order to do capitalize on traditional snail mail, I was on a mission to find a real estate marketing postcard that fit my needs and brand.
Throughout the years I have received numerous real estate marketing postcards. We all know the ones, those glossy cards with a photo of a recent home they sold. Though I love the self-promo I wanted something more personal and that better represented what my brand is. After a little searching, I found Market Dwellings. Everything I had been looking for to help me stand out from the other agents in my area. Why be the same when you can add your own spin to an already flooded mailer market. I didn’t want to be like the others and do what they were all already doing for years.
*Don’t forget to follow the rules. All my marketing has my brokerage logo on both sides, plus Fair Housing/Realtor Logos and Disclaimer*
Market Dwellings is crafted marketing, by a former Real Estate Agent, “that sets you apart.” Also, I knew I didn’t want to spend “my time” crafting unique cards, I need to spend that time prospecting and with my current clients.
For my real estate marketing postcards, I make sure to send one every month to my sphere. Letting them know I am here to help, or for a little reminder that referrals are the best compliment. To jump-start` the monthly real estate campaign I sent a “Hello Neighbor” card and then continued by monthly themes. From a Thanksgiving pie recipe to Spring Cleaning tips or a delicious Irish Stew Recipe for St. Patty’s Day.
Of course, there was a more traditional “JUST SOLD” postcard in the mix but it had little Keki style/wording to that one as well. I want to make sure that the few seconds my mailers touch their hands that they are read and somewhat memorable. Also, I know there is a high chance of non-recipe cards being thrown in the garbage. For that reason, I love that Market Dewellings ALWAYS adds the business card holder. Grab the business card, toss the mailing is fine by me.
Gift Tags to Door Hangers
There is more to offer at Market Dwelling besides postcards and mailers. I love their wine tags for quick and easy gifts for friends, family and referrals. Plus, Happy Closing cards have been a hit. It has a spot to insert a gift card plus your business card.
Even though the mailers and gift tags are some of my faves, the door hangers are perfect! Great price and quality. The double-sided spring door hanger was my fave but I have a huge stack of Open House door hangers as well that I place in the neighborhood when I have an open house. Just never know who might want to stop by.
What is nice is it has become a type of “job” for my daughter and her friends. We take Lulu for a walk and the kids join me placing the door hangers. They have been amazing assistants and have learned what “No Soliciting” means when we come up to a home. lol.
Now, does investment in snail mail marketing work? YES! I am a firm believer in the theory of 33 touches. A marketing concept of touching each person in your sphere 33 times per year. From phone calls to lunches/coffee, texts to mailings. In the last couple of months, I have had two referrals as a result of my direct mailers. I plan and hope to continue with my unique style of real estate marketing and have it only grow as time passes.
I would love to hear how your direct mail marketing ideas? And check out Market Dwellings too 😉
