Every holiday season I pick a color that I want to focus on when it comes to my Christmas designs and this year it is red. I feel like we are being surrounded by white on white…on white. Remember when red was cool? I do. And that is why I am bringing red back into my home starting with my holiday front door. Basically screaming HAPPY HOLIDAYS from the moment you step into my home. This year I grabbed a few of my new favorite holiday decorations from Kirkland’s, – Shop the items by just clicking below! Happy Shopping.
Holiday Front Door with Kirkland’s
When it comes to decorating my front door for any holiday I need three things, a wreath, a door mat, and a floornament. You know what I mean, something that goes on the floor and you know it has to be a lantern. Recently, someone on Instagram asked me if I had a closet full of lanterns. Basically, yes. Some people have a lot of shoes, I have lanterns. I think they are the best for decor. I can have them outside, on tables, on fireplace mantels on the floor by the fireplace, hanging from trees during a summer party, oh geez, the design options are endless. I can put candles inside or fill them with pumpkins, acorns, and more. I say, if you see a good price on a good lantern, grab it. Okay, since this year’s color is red, I will make sure that each item has a hint of red, that way it can tie together flawlessly. For that reason I opted for the Noel Berry Buffalo Check Wreath with the matching Red Buffalo Checked door mat. I love the hint to black that the Buffalo checks brings in.
