Fall has arrived and it truly is my favorite season. I love the sweater weather with no heavy jacket and the idea of gathering with friends around the fire pit. And yup, I couldn’t wait any longer for the temperature to drop so I could complete my outdoor decorations for Fall. I tackled the exterior of my home, but, need interior inspiration for Fall, join our blog hop, check out the talented bloggers below. So, a major upside to outdoor Fall decorations is that they can last for three months, from September through Thanksgiving. Halfway, in October, you can mix in some Halloween Decor for a couple weeks, then simply remove the Halloween items and you have another month of outdoor decorations to enjoy the entire season.

Outdoor Decorations For Fall
This year I decided to keep it classic. No need to go all crazy with painted colored pumpkins or all white farmhouse decor without a pop of color. I went “old school,” I mean, what is so wrong with orange? I talked about this recently at a conference, and, we are seeing it happen in the design world, classic designs are making a strong comeback (well, as if they ever left).
Anyway, keeping it classic this year will help you decorate for Fall without feeling overwhelmed, and who needs that. At the end, it’s all about spending more time with your family and friends. So, I am sharing a couple easy tips to get your outdoor decorations for Fall complete with my ONE STOP SHOP Lowe’s Fall Decorations.
Easy Tips For Outdoor Fall Decorations:
Truly the best advice I can give, so you don’t run yourself crazy, this Fall is a one-stop shop. I was able to find everything I needed at Lowe’s Home Improvement. From cute Fall accessories, like wreaths, door mats and signs, to beautiful mums of all different sizes and colors.
So, what are my 5 go-to Fall tips for the exterior of your home:
- Faux: Since my pumpkins will be out for 3 months I purposely didn’t want to use all real pumpkins right away. There is nothing wrong with faux if you decide to decorate early. Go ahead, look at my pictures, I think they look fab.
- 3 Sizes / 3 Colors: Use various size mums. Small, medium, and large and the magic number 3 again to pick out 3 different color mums. ALSO, to create height just flip over some of the potted plant holders. You can see that for a few mums I wanted to add height: I flipped over the decorative containers and placed the mum on top.
- Divided your layout into 3: I have a left, right, and a middle design. Make sure each section is different OR the left and right are symmetrical if you want to create balance.
- Add 3 or more non-natural objects. For example, I have lanterns, cedar barrel, a welcome sign.
- More is always better: When it comes to styling I always add add add. The more the better, and I was able to do this with mums since they are not pricey, at Lowe’s you can get three 3qt mums for $12
