Hey hey hey, it is 85 in Chicago in May and that calls for some glorious celebrations, so why not celebrate that I am over at A Blissful Nest with my family friendly living room ideas. So, lets face it, we (okay maybe just I) dream of my first home, second home and that dream home, and in all them I have to reconsider my design aesthetic to include, well, you know, children. If I styled my house without 3 children in mind it would not be oh so family friendly. But, I do have three amazing children that every time I buy a piece for a space in the home I think, can my kids handle it?
So, if you want to know my top design secrets for designing a family friendly living room, head on over to A Blissful Nest and find out.

I’m waiting for my 5 year old to grow up a little bit more so that we can have the living room to ourselves. Right now, doesn’t matter how much I clean, its always crowded with toys.

Designing a home that’s full of kids is definitely different. You and I feel the same way, if I were to decorate my home without my kids, it would be totally different from what we have now!

Luckily there are no kids in my oh so NOT family friendly house – I sometimes even question whether it’s safe for our cats, it’s like a minefield of antiques and randomness but we absolutely love it haha x
