Holy…it is week two of the one room challenge home office, created by Calling it Home and I am wondering…what was I thinking renovating this space in six weeks. I know I can renovate a space in six weeks, that isn’t the challenge. The challenge is life that happens all around it. I am in the height of home staging season, a.k.a, my bread and butter. So, if I get a call or email to stage a property I am there. Hence, #ORC is put on delay another day. More importantly, I have been and will always be a momma first, so hockey, swimming, being there for these kiddos is FULL TIME, even when they are not physically around me. I have a pre-teen, so he sends me emails and texts during the day (from school) asking me about his plans, his homework, his life. Even when he is in school I am constantly communicating with him, or he with me. Now, I know I am not the first of my family/friends to have kids, but we are the first to have to deal with pre-teen issues (OH MY GOD DO THEY EXIST) and toddler issues at the same time. I know my supportive mommies are out there and know what I mean. So why did I add the One Room Challenge on top of it all? Well, because, life is now and why not take it all on.
One Room Challenge – Home Office Guest Room Makeover
So, above is my plan. I am a little bit vintage, meets some modern, meets some fun! Yes, Fun! My MIL actually said to me once that I was “loud” when I laughed, like louder than what they were use to. oh. But, you know what? Maybe I laugh too loud, maybe some people don’t laugh hard enough and have fun. So yea, my style is a little fun for this space. I mean, it is the basement office / guest room, it already can feel like a dungeon.
So with this One Room Challenge I am renovating the home office and guest room exactly how I feel. Loud, strong, and proud.
