This is not a joke! No, seriously, the post title says it all. We need rug pads. Okay, so this is coming from someone who literally has never used a rug pad in my own personal home. Why? Because I just didn’t want to pay for it. NOW, that doesn’t mean my clients don’t have rug pads. Eek. I know, I make them buy one yet I don’t for my own home. Anywaaay, RugsPadsUSAsent me a little holiday gift to try. I had asked for a rather larger size knowing I would, if I liked it, use in a couple different places, foyer and kitchen. Why the foyer and kitchen???
When someone steps into a home I want it to feel comfortable. Like literally feel the softness under their feet, cause I think it gives everyone a good sense of home. Today many households, including mine, when it snows or rains, we expect guest to remove their shoes. I mean, don’t be tracking that nasty gray snow into my house. So, with boots thrown off, they step until lusciousness.
Why kitchen? Well, that is more for selfish reasons. I spend way too much time in this place. I mean my gosh, what mommy doesn’t think about a meal plan. And I don’t mean “oh, what should I have for lunch?” I mean, what will I cook for dinner in 48 hours for now. Meal planning and prep has become my initial after thought. You know, you about it constantly. No pressure, I only four other human beings to feed and depend on meals, seems only fair I lose sleep over it. LOL. Some times I jolt out of bed and think, “ah!! Do I have enough in the pantry to scrounge up a decent meal today?”

Rug pads are a must when you have a rug. They slip and slide all over the place without them!

exactly! and the softness under our feet with the microfoam, love it!

What a cool rug pad. It most certainly looks comfy. I just have one of those thin ones to help it from slipping. I certainly could use a new rug too.

This seems great. I have three large area rugs in my home and all tile floors. This seems like it would be perfect under them to give some more padding!

My lovely and adorable felines love playing with our rugs and inverting them! I wonder if having rug pads would help! Haha! I should give it a try!

I am so checking out this rug pad because I always walk barefoot in my home and adore that feeling of softness on the carpets. But – hard to get all the time. Especially in the kitchen. You are making my day with this resource, girl!

I love rug pads and these look like good ones. I know they help my rugs last longer, too. You have some pretty rugs!

I've never even thought to use a rug pad before. I could see how this would be helpful for both the cushioning but also to keep the rug in place
Cecilia C. Cannon says
yes me too. I use to just have those thin ones, well, not anymore 😉
Cecilia C. Cannon says
it would! honestly it is so soft. I love it and no Fumes or anything
Cecilia C. Cannon says
yes, exactly. I haven't used one because of cost but totally worth it. I mean it is basically $14-$34 not bad
Cecilia C. Cannon says
oh good tip! didn't realize it would help them last longer! so good to know.
Cecilia C. Cannon says
yeah!! so glad it helped!

I have only ever used some rug tape to keep mine from moving around put this pad looks great! I love that it give the rug some cushion!!

That's so funny she hugged the rug!! Haha so cute. I can see this being really great for pets because if your pets are like mine they sometimes lay out of their beds, well most times, and lay on the floor or rugs haha.

We only have area rugs in our home, but this would be really sweet to have for them!

I don't think I've used a rug pad. Probably because I grew up in a place where we had carpet. But since then when I've purchases rugs, I always look for ones that are comfortable. It wasn't until I purchased a memory foam rug for the bathroom did I see what I was missing. Not i understand why I need a pad under all my rugs.

This is so useful to read! I didn't even realise rug pads were a thing but it makes total sense! We are getting a rug this weekend – I'm so excited, I've already been picking & choosing online – might pick up one of these to go with it! xx

I have never purchased a rug pad before. I just put the rugs on the hardwood. I guess I should probably look into getting some. Thanks so much for your recommendation!

I usually put rugs down without rug pads, but I think I probably should think about it now. Amber N
