Well, the One Room Challenge has come to an end. I must admit, I easily could have completed this challenge had I not decided to gut rehab the upstairs bath. What was I thinking?
Anyhoo, I did make some progress. There is defintelely a decent before and after worthy photos but not completed photos as I would have hoped.
Once I created my mood board for the staircase the rest was to simply just fall into place. However, I now know that I have already changed my mind on the staircase runner since completing the mood board because I discovered hidden original flooring and banisters that would not work with the previous runner. Well, check out the original staircase post and see how far I have come!
One Room Challenge
okay, so obviously not done as I didn’t show you the staircase runner and a new gallery wall or light fixture. BUT I will, so stay tuned.
And, don’t forget to check out the other participants over at Calling it Home

Thanks! it is the original solid wood arched door from the home, built in 1927.

My husband and I have a saying concerning DIY for the home… 'It's never just one thing'. Who knew that an entry/staircase makeover would lead to an upstairs bathroom gut job? Anyone who has ever started a DIY project knows that this makes perfect sense. I don't think you've failed at all; just changed direction. The Fall ORC will be here before you know it.
