Staining Floors Jacobean / Ebony Mix

Many people always ask me what are my favorite floor stains and I wrote about my top 3 favorite dark floor stains here. But, one that I have used a few times in different style homes and properties is Staining Floors Jacobean / Ebony Mix and it always turns out great.

Last Spring we began the updating process of a clients new home and the floors were the first thing that got updated.

Here is what the property looked like when they purchased it.

Don’t worry, this IS NOT their style, so the design process begins.

With a completely vacant home they had the perfect opportunity to begin changing out flooring, wall colors and lighting if necessary.

They wanted dark flooring and I knew that a 50 / 50 Jacobean / Ebony Mixmix  would fit right in with the wall colors and soon to be furnishings.

The flooring company, Mr. Flooring, was fantastic in providing multiple samples and with constant email updates and communication. I have worked with many flooring guys and I was highly impressed with Mr. Floorings communication, professionalism, and work ethic.

They did use a dust free system, BUT, please note that no dust free is 100% and that you will always have a little residue. However, it does not compare to the dust storm that use to occur when re-staining wood floors.
