I have come to realize that if I don’t designate a day of the week, then it will never happen. Every week I’m with my clients, from staging clients to my interior styling clients, and I am not journaling about it (otherwise known as blogging). I started this blog to keep track of my projects and it just isn’t happening. So, I decided to create FEATURE FRIDAY. Every Friday, I am going to pick a client project I was working on that week and feature something about it. And it begins today, YAH!
This week, I have a new staging client. They are just wonderful. You know, the clients that have already detached themselves from their home and are ready to move. Any recommendations I give they jump on it and don’t take it personally.
This home is FAB U LOUS but there are aspects we need to tweak; we need to get it “show home” ready for the Spring 2015 market. Now, I am not going to give away the entire home, but here is a sneak peak as to how a little home staging goes a long way.
In this particular home there is a room next to the kitchen. It is intended to be a butlers pantry. However, when the home was remodeled they placed their authentic Chinese cabinet in the space that they hand picked while in China. It is a beaut, but, it is not showcasing the purpose of the room.
As you can see, it is a catch all cabinet. The doors would remain closed for showings and then potential buyers would wonder, “what do I do with this space?”
Well, I decided that we needed to keep the doors wide open and then stage it as a Serving Bar / Butlers Closet, ready to handle all those parties. Luckily, my client got straight to work and I discovered this a few days later.
Tell me I don’t have a great client.

I like the Feature Friday idea! As I've gotten busier with my staging business my blogging has suffered greatly!
This was a grew idea turning it into a bar area!

Hi Lucy! I attending a workshop and learned about a great online source that provides social media interns who spend the time to organized prescheduled blogs/social media info etc. Know where my time is best spent. All blogs are prewritten for an entire week, 1-2 weeks in advanced. Finally learned from experts how to grow my biz which includes my blog.
