Recent Occupied Stagings – Ketchup Time
Home Staging: From Paint to Appliances
This past month I happen to have 2 listings within a mile of each other and they both needed the works. One property had way too much wallpaper while they other had tenants for the last decade. Well, nothing a little TLC or paint, cleaning, and styling couldn’t fix.
BEFORE shot above: Even though the wall were white, the dark cabinets with dark appliances and old light fixtures made the kitchen feel dark and gloomy.
AFTER shot below: As you will see below. I actually added color to the walls but the kitchen got brighter. 2 new ceiling light fixtures plus new shiny appliances, granite counter-tops and having all the original wood cabinets polished with some lemon oil does the trick.
Making the bed helps
This first picture is the first floor office. No joke, there is crown molding and floor trim. But it was painted the same color as the walls. Look what a little Gray can do and new furniture.
You can’t see it here, but this stair-case wall is at least 60 feet. But it just blended in. So I had it painted a darker Beige Gray by Benjamin Moore to have it pop.
In the living room the coffee table was staged to the wall. I must admit that this was a hard room to get furniture for but always keep the flow in a space so it is NOT screaming “AWKWARD!”
The dining room had floor to ceiling wallpaper with wallpaper border. It was the biggest job at the property but we had all the wallpaper removed and repainted. Then we “tried” to take the emphasis away from the tile floors with an over sized floor rug.
