Bankers Desk

OH, yes. Yet, another exact item I wanted. Nope, sorry. An item I  “needed” to complete my living room makeover. Now, don’t forget, this living room is over 6 months in the making, waiting for those exact pieces I “needed.”

Bankers Desk. I always wanted a genuine bankers desk. They are sturdy, reliable, made of solid wood, have storage, and can last longer than any “Desk out of a Box.”

Googling bankers desk and searching Craigslist. I found many. But I needed one with durability. Then one gray winter morning I saw an ad for a bankers desk with a custom glass top. Done!

Got on the phone to find out there was already an offer. Selling for $60.

Well, Ok. “I will pay $100 and pick it up today!”

“Done!” said the owner.

I arrived and to my happy surprise it was pristine. Another “mom” who started a fantastic photography business had purchased the desk at an estate sale. But she needed a larger surface to house her proofs. No problem, I can take this load off you.

I grabbed the desk and have been using it for months waiting for the Chicago weather to turn so I can begin it’s “life-change.”

Here is the before. What you don’t see is the custom glass top. The ZERO scratches, marks, or hinderances that will make this re-hab an instant perfection.
